Because the last testing phase ended abruptly, we will be extending it till Nov 4th. This game is great, the one thing I'd love to see is some improvements to how blocking and redirecting work, and then a multiplayer ability. I feel like this game could be a really good fighting game with time, and clearly has lots of passion behind it.
Love it! Version: 0. The game has fully realised environments from the series and character models that are instantly recognisable. The animations are the only downside is they are overused and repetitive. Then as for sound, the authentic voice actors from the show lend their talent to the game with great effect. Then sadly, the musical score is nothing more than background music at best.
This game succeeds in parts when adapting this series into an action-adventure, however, it so many ways it fails to meet the mark.
The combat system is oversimplified and only offers new moves as novelties rather than useful assets to the player. Then the game also takes this novelty aspect into the way you use each character, there is little reason to not stick with Aang unless completing arbitrary mini-games to progress. Then arguably the most critical failure is the absence of a co-op function.
This would have at least allowed you to have fun with a friend in this universe but instead, you have to go it alone. While training in the North Pole, Aang and Katara hear reports of a waterbender, Hiryu, going missing, which they investigate.
They are able to fend off the attackers, but Katara is captured during the battle. Aang and Sokka follow the ship, but are slowed by a Firebending machine. They follow the ship to an Earth Kingdom port. They slip into the jail and free Katara, who informs them of another prisoner named Lian the Maker, who is being forced to make machines for the Fire Nation.
They find the village under attack by machines. After fending off the machines, picking up Haru and being informed that one of his earthbending friends Yuan was kidnapped, they travel to the library of Omashu for clues to where the machines might originate from.
The information from the library leads them to an uncharted island. Aang for example is able to use Airbending abilities and Katara has her badass water whip. You will have to use these abilities to solve various puzzles.
You can also play with a friend; I played the game with my son who loves the show and we had a good time. The reason for this has to be the visuals. This game looked dated when it was released. It is not a horrible-looking game and it captures the look of the show decently enough. However, it has a rather dull and basic look that I feel is down to it being developed with the Wii and PS2 in mind.
Enemies include classic Firebenders, machines, and a variety of animals from the show, mainly the first book. Download Game Total Conquest Java.
